Last Nice Day of the Year

Last Monday was such a beautiful day. I had a feeling it would be the last 70+ day of the year, so I wouldn't let the kids come inside until it got dark. Keith and I were even out with the kids. It was so nice, as I sat there next to Keith, helping him remember the guitar chords that he knows. He just played away with no worries about studying or classes or anything! I remember thinking how if this was last year, there would have been no way that he would even think about sitting outside playing the guitar for an hour. If he would have been he would have had studying on his mind. I'm so proud of him for all he went through the first two years of medical school and that he came out of it sane. I think I did too :) I know though, that there's no way I could do what he and his fellow classmates have done!!! Thank goodness for these two years of rotations before residency where he can feel some sort of normalcy again (and just sit outside playing away on his guitar!)

By the way, I am loving rotations as well! It is so nice to spend time with my hubby!! Though I do miss the support from all the fabulous women, it almost evens out by spending more time with our students! ;)

I had no idea Keith played guitar! Glad you enjoyed your last warm day - at least you're in a dry cold! =)
