Keith's first Day

So, yesterday was Keith's first day of his rotations. It was very sad to see our summer end. I'm not sure that we will ever have a summer like that again with Keith home all day everyday for 6 weeks. It was so great! We slept in every morning until about 8(yes, even the kids!) and then just did whatever we felt like doing for the day for the most part. There were always days where we actually had things we really needed to do. But we were able to spend so much time together as a family which was the best part! I'm so blessed to have married such a wonderful man who is such a great husband and the best dad a dad could be to his boys. I'm excited for him to move on to the next chapter of his medical school journey. Right now he is doing internal medicine(in his opinion the hardest of all his rotations), so he has been thrown viciously right back into getting up very early and being gone late. He has to do rounds first thing in the morning so he is now out of the house by 6:30. He didn't get home last night until 7:30, the boys and I had a little bit of daddy withdrawl yesterday. I know it's all part of what he and our family have to do for him to become the doctor he wants to be down the road, so we are right there supporting him all the way. I'm excited to hear about all the great things he is going to learn this year! Good luck sweetie! We love you :)

I know exactly how you feel! It gets better as you get used to the new schedule. Wish I lived there so we could hang out again! =)

Paul started with Family Practice and didn't have his first day until today. He got up at 7:30 and came home at 12:30. I thought I was going to finally have a day to myself!! JK.
It's been great to have him home so much and I'm glad he gets to get thrown back in the slow way. I hope Keith has a good time in internal med. Wish him good luck for us.
Miss you guys.
