Fourth of July Weekend

Can you guess where we headed off to for the Fourth of July Weekend???? Here are some hints:
Tired Boys, cuz we left our house at 7:30 p.m. after Keith had gotten sleep from being on call.

Road Blocks as you cross the border to make sure you don't have people in the car that you shouldn't have:)

Lots' of windmills-

Cool looking Rock Mountains

Sand Dunes

Here is your hint if you haven't figured it out yet ;)

Yes, we went to San Diego. It was so nice to get out of 110 degree heat to 70 degree pleasantry:) The first day we went to La Jolla and walked around and then went down and swam at their beach.

Keith is pointing out the seals here. These are always my favorite pictures of Keith and the boys from behind.

On Saturday we went down to the San Diego Harbor and walked around. It is such a fun place. The boys loved all the boats and the huge ship with planes and helicopters actually on it.

When the boys saw this, they said, "Hey look it's from Night at the Museum!" I had to put this in just so you can see how huge it is!!!!

Here's Kordin with his 4th of July cupcake and All American Coke. He's a funny kid. As we were walking around a boy who must have just been learning magic asked Kordin if he would like to help him. He pulled out 2 soft clown noses and asked him how many there were. Kordin said 2. Then the boy asked Kordin to put his hand out and the boy put the noses in his hand, but as he was doing this, Kordin said, " I know you just put another one in there so there are 3!" So much for the boys magic. He quickly switched helpers:) Kordin is too smart for magic:)

After walking around the harbor we went to a water park that we had gotten really cheap tickets for. Once we got there, we realized why they were so cheap. We may have been the only white family without tatoos and definitely the minority. The boys still had fun. No pictures, though. That night we went to our favorite place for burgers at Fuddruckers. The boys love this place because they always get dessert(milkshakes) before their dinner. And they love the games.

Then we were going to drive down to Del Mar for fireworks, but when we walked out of Fuddruckers, all these cars were parking in the parking lots around there. We asked what they were doing and they told us the fireworks were shot off just across the street. So we got lucky to find some great fireworks without having to fight traffic. The boys loved them right over our heads. Daxon kept his blanket over his face and held on to me really tight the whole time, but he didn't cry. The next day he wanted to see them again, so I was glad he hadn't gotten traumatized:)

We went home the next morning after having a great time as a family on a quick get away. I love spending time with this wonderful family. I always try to remember to cherish this time with them while they are young because they will be too big too soon!!!

Yay!! I loved your updates and I love your family :-). Daxon is growing up before my very blogging eyes. Holy cow! I do love how he still has his flip flops on :-).

The story about Kordin is hilarious, although he always has been a magician..I remember giving him a magic kit for his 5 year birthday :-).

And, what can I say about little Karsie except that I love him. And he is freaking brown :-). Lucky cute boy.

I MISS YOU!!! LOVE YOU!
