Way back when I was maybe 8 or 9, my dad began taking my sister, Rachelle, and I up to Bridger Mountain Ski Resort in Montana. He was a high school teacher and they needed someone to drive the ski bus full of students up to the mountain every other Saturday. So he would take us along with him. I'm not even sure if he ever put us in lessons. It seems like we just started following him wherever he took us and so we became quite good skiers at a very young age. Throughout the years, we skiied quite a bit, but then it became a bit more infrequent as I got older and it became a maybe once a year thing. Last weekend became my once a year ski trip:) My dad was taking Kordin and his cousins skiing for the day, as he has decided to instill the love of skiing in his grandchildren, and Keith and I decided to go along. Lucky for us, my sister is a big wig at Park City Ski Resort, and can get us on the mountain for free. So we all met up there. As I was putting my skis on, I was a bit giddy, because it was then that I remembered how much I love skiing. We were there on a perfect, beautiful, blue sky day. It was the best ski day I remember in a long time. Maybe it was because of the blue skies or the fact that we only skied for 3 hours, so I didn't have a chance to get those achy legs from boots. Thank you dad for teaching all your girls how to ski. It is definitely something Keith and I will do with our boys, even if it means a once a year ski trip :)

Oooohhh, ski days in Montana . . . brings back such good memories!! I started skiing super young too (I think I was 4 or 5), but have not done any since I was a freshmen in college. How sad is that?!?! Maybe our next location will allow me to get back into it and maybe get Cooper started too!!
How fun!! Skiing has become more of a once-every-five-years thing for me, but I still love it every time!
Wow, you do the coolest stuff! What a fun memory, and a fun tradition. Hopefully you'll be able to go more than once a year.
