Holiday Joys

We had such a wonderful holiday vacation. Keith had off all the same days Kordin did, so we just did alot together as a family. That is, when my sweet Keith was feeling o.k. On his first day of vacation(the 21st) Keith had the flu and then from there, he was just under the weather for two weeks. So he was a trooper through the holidays, cuz he didn't feel all that great! For Christmas Eve, we spent it at my dad's house with all my sisters and their families. There are 3 new members of our family this year(Erica's new husband, Brandon, Daxon and Sophie) so we are getting to be a bigger family. This was the first Christmas where we didn't spend it with both our parents at the same time as they are divorced now. So that took a little bit of figuring out for everyone, but it ended up a good holiday. Christmas Eve is also my sister Lindsay's birthday, so that night was birthday/Christmas program. Here are some pictures from that night:

Once we got home at about 9:30, we had to get the kids to bed, so I could take Keith to my mom's a block away to get the 4-wheeler for Kordin we had been storing there. We didn't end up getting there until about 11:00 and then it took an hour and a half to get it home, as I ended up having to tow it with Keith sitting on it to our house, cuz the battery was dead. We finally got to bed at 1:00 a.m and weren't quite ready to wake up starting at 6:30 when Kordin started asking if he could wake up yet. We were able to get a half hour more sleep out of him and then that was it . The kids had a great morning playing with all of their toys from Santa. It's funny. The only present Daxon got from us at all this year was his one ball toy from Santa, but he would have been happy with nothing. I wish I would have thought of that when Kordin and Karson were that age :) Here are some pictures of the morning:

At about 11:00, we got all the kids dressed and went to my mom's house for Christmas breakfast with my sisters and their families. It was a great morning. Here are some pictures from that morning.

My mom got each of my boys some kind of musical instrument. This was Karson's piano, but Daxon enjoys it too.

AND WHAT DO ALL THE ADULTS DO AS THE KIDS ARE ALL PLAYING WITH THEIR TOYS????? WE ARE ALL PLAYING IN A "ROCKBAND"!!!!!!!!! It is the funnest thing! Someone sings, someone plays the drums and two people play the guitars! If you know of anyone who has it, you've got to try it!!!! Or maybe not. You may get addicted and do what we did.... Keith enjoyed this so much that day, that we took back all his gifts and bought that instead!! Here are a couple of pictures of us rockin out :) From the front and the back :)

You can't tell from this picture, but everyone is watching their part that they are supposed to play on the screen.

It sounds like you guys had a great holiday! I've heard from MANY people that Rock Band is awesome. My sister and brother-in-law had a Christmas party a few weeks ago where they played it and couldn't get anyone to do anything else! :)
