Wonderful Women
Last weekend I had the opportunity to go to the conference center in Salt Lake for the annual LDS Women's Conference. In a way, it was a very overwhelming experience for me. Throughout the conference, I was overwhelmed with such a gratitude for all the wonderful women who have come into my life. I was also overwhelmed with such happiness as I sat there with thousands of women listening to these wonderful speakers. As I listened and watched the women in the choir with huge smiles as they sang to us, it brought tears to my eyes, because I could see and feel their wonderful spirits almost jumping out at us singing their testimonies of the songs they were singing. I always seem to get one message through all the talks and this time it was that we are so lucky to be women and to be able to use our wonderful gifts of love and nurture we have naturally been given. I loved a story the Relief Society President told. It was about a women who went to a neighbor's house one morning and told her friend that she had seen the lights on in the middle of the night and thought she could use some sleep. So she took her neighbors kids home. This story really hit me because I had things like this done for me quite often when I lived in Kirksville and you wonderful women know who you are :) President Monson talked about 3 things we should be doing to help our families. They were: Pray often, Study Diligently, and Serve Willingly. We can be good examples to our children by doing these things. One thing I have begun asking Kordin every day when he comes home from school is how did he help someone that day. Now he doesn't even wait for me to ask him. He excitedly tells me something he did. I hope this continues for him because I have been so blessed by others serving me. This whole conference just really made think again of all you wonderful women in my life. Thank you for the part you have played in my life, whether you are my family or friends. I love you all and treasure each one of you.

YOu are such a wonderful wife mother and friend ps i sent you an email.
I loved that story too. There were always so many people willing to help each other out in Kville. Yes, that is you Rebecca. You helped me out so much by taking care of my kids when I had Ben and bringing over a meal even though you just had a baby 8 weeks earlier. Thanks so much!! You're are a great friend!!
Rebecca, you are that lady up in the night noticing when other people's lights are on. Thank you for offering to help me so much. I'm so glad we're friends!
I loved the conference. You should have seen Madi dancing to that wonderful music! What stuck with me is how my kids are learning by example. I always need a reminder that it's more than what I say but what I do. I love your new saying on chat that says you're on way too much. I think it's funny cause Bri sits down at the computer to "check her memail" and Alison can navigate the web at 5! :)
We've changed our minds about rotations. We're staying in Kirksville! I'll have to call you and tell you about it!
Your new home looks beautiful!
I'm so glad you got to attend!!! I went several years ago when we lived in Utah, and it was really neat to be there. You are such a good example to me - more than you'll ever know. =)
