Since I missed all of the preparation and showers for my youngest sister, Erica's, wedding, I thought I would honor her here. She got married the day after we unloaded our truck in Utah and I feel like I didn't really get to help her out or be there for her like I wanted to as we had other things that were going on. She is one of the most amazing people you will ever know with the best personalities of anyone I've ever known. If you met her, you would notice right away what a beautiful person she is with a beautiful spirit all around her. We can always count on her to throw out funny little one liners and she has the best "Jim Carry" Grinch impression. She and her new husband, Brandon, went through so many good ups and not so good downs to get to the day of their marriage, with the biggest one coming just during the last couple of months before they got married and they both stayed sooo positive through it all. Erica was diagnosed with thyroid cancer back in April and they took that out, but when she went in for her checkup after the surgery , they found they hadn't gotten it all. So, not even a month before her wedding, she had another surgery for that. They got that all out, too. Some people may have been really negative through all this, but she just kept doing what she needed to do to get ready for the wedding and Brandon was right there with her. He was such a support for her, exonifying what a true friend and husband should be. Their wedding ceremony was beautiful. I especially remember one thing that was said. The sealer had Brandon stand in front of a mirror without Erica first and was told to tell him what he saw. Of course, he just saw himself. Then he had Erica come over and stand by him. He asked him then what he saw and he said, "My new beautiful wife, Erica and I." The sealer then said, "If ever there comes a time when you are just seeing yourself, then you know your marriage is in trouble. But if you are always seeing you right alongside Erica, then you will have a happy marriage." I think that is important for all married couples to remember. Always make sure you are right there with your spouse- not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually and that will for sure make a stronger marriage. I am so happy for Erica and Brandon. I love you both and welcome to the family, Brandon :)

your sister looks so beautiful. I am so glad you could be their for her wedding.
She looks gorgeous - just like her big sister! =)
What a beautiful and strong lady!
I think the people in the BYU computer lab are wondering why I'm sitting here crying. Thank you, Becca. That is such an honor and a tribute to have the front page of your blog. And, it's funny how I felt the same about not even being able to welcome you back to Utah or help you move into your new apartment. I guess we're both about doing good things.
I was so glad you were there JUST in time to share our day with us. And especially honored about your words you gave at the luncheon.
You are more than I ever needed for a big sister.
I love you.
