The Kitchen is Packed So it's Time to Move

Daxon's assumed position as I pack the kitchen :)

Yes, I have always felt like once the kitchen is packed, then it really is time to move, cuz it's got soo much stuff in it. Luckily, the last couple of big moves we've made, I have gotten away with not having to pack it up. When we moved into our house in Utah 5 years ago, I was a week overdue with Kordin, so my mom packed my whole house and unpacked it. Then when we moved out of that house 3 years later, I had just had Karson 3 days before, so my mom, sisters and best friend packed my kitchen. This time I didn't have any excuses, so it has been the room I have been procrastinating the most. Now that it is done, though, I feel like I can do all of the little things left much easier. I also feel like I can sit down now at the computer and actually blog a little bit and not feel like I have so much more to do(I think I do have "so much more to do", but I'm in denial)

I don't have a whole lot of mixed feelings about moving, as I have known from the day we moved here that we would go back to Utah. I really am so excited to go back, because I really miss my family and the great mountains and the not-so-humid air. I have been thinking about what I will miss, though. The number one thing is definitely the unique med school family we have grown to love here. I know that we will never be in this kind of place again where there are so many people in the same boat as you who all have the same goals, values, financial situation and sweet families. It was always nice to know that someone else very close by understood what I was going through during finals week and on the other side of it understood what it meant when Keith was actually home during a break for a whole week :) We drive out of here on Sunday morning, always remembering and treasuring the life long friendships that have been made here.

So now I go back to packing all the little things and hoping it all gets done by Sunday morning :)

OK, my eyes are watering. I'd better get off the computer and go do something else before it turns into an all-out ball session!!!
